Ghost Hunt – Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, booking, or attending an event organised by Near Sight Afterlife, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

1.1 All events operated by Near Sight Afterlife are strictly adults-only (18+).
1.2 Valid photo ID may be requested. Entry will be refused without acceptable proof of age, with no refund.

2. Bookings & Payment

2.1 All bookings must be made in advance via approved booking channels.
2.2 Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
2.3 Tickets are issued for a specific date, time, and location and are not transferable without prior approval.

3. Refunds & Cancellations

3.1 All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where an event is cancelled by Near Sight Afterlife.
3.2 No refunds will be issued for:
Late arrival
Early departure
Failure to attend
Removal due to breach of these Terms & Conditions
3.3 In the event that Near Sight Afterlife cancels an event, ticket holders will be offered either a full refund or transfer to a future date.

4. Event Changes

4.1 Near Sight Afterlife reserves the right to:
Change event timings
Modify investigation format
Substitute equipment
Restrict access to certain areas for safety or venue requirements
4.2 Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.

5. Health, Safety & Participation

5.1 Ghost hunts may take place in historic or aged buildings with low lighting, uneven floors, stairs, or confined spaces.
5.2 Participants attend at their own risk and must sign a Waiver & Release of Liability before participating.
5.3 Participants must be physically and mentally fit to take part. The experience may be intense and unsettling.
5.4 Near Sight Afterlife reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone deemed unfit for safety reasons.

6. Alcohol, Drugs & Behaviour

6.1 Alcohol and recreational drugs are strictly prohibited during events.
6.2 Anyone suspected of being under the influence will be refused entry or removed without refund.
6.3 Abusive, disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
6.4 Failure to follow staff instructions may result in immediate removal.
7. Photography, Filming & Recording
7.1 Photography, video, and audio recording may be permitted unless restricted by the venue.
7.2 Flash photography or bright lighting may be restricted during investigations.
7.3 Near Sight Afterlife reserves the right to record events for promotional or documentary purposes. Attendance constitutes consent unless opted out in writing prior to the event.

8. Personal Property

8.1 Participants bring personal belongings and equipment at their own risk.
8.2 Near Sight Afterlife accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

9. Paranormal Disclaimer

9.1 Paranormal activity is not guaranteed.
9.2 Near Sight Afterlife does not make claims regarding the existence or behaviour of spirits or entities.
9.3 No liability is accepted for personal beliefs, interpretations, or emotional reactions arising from the experience.

10. Liability

10.1 Near Sight Afterlife will take reasonable steps to ensure participant safety.
10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Near Sight Afterlife shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or emotional distress suffered during an event, except where caused by proven negligence or breach of statutory duty.

11. Data Protection
11.1 Personal data will be collected and processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
11.2 Data will be used only for event management, safety, and legal purposes.

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
12.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
